In many countries, governments allocate far more funding to scientific research and technological development than to the arts (e.g., music, painting, theater). Some people believe that this imbalance is justified because science and technology generate tangible benefits like economic growth and medical advances. Do you think the arts are as important as science for society’s well-being? Should funding for the arts be increased, even if it means less money for science?
